    Exceptional

It was a great hotel if you want some peace and quiet surrounded by olive trees, birds, and flowers. There is a great view of the village and the food is delicious. Try the dinner which has wonderful specialties from France. You can drive to the beaches of Menton, Cannes, and Nice but it takes at least 30 minutes. Great hotel torelax and see the countryside of France while being not too far from the coast.

    Superb

Know that this is really a b&b and that it is about 20 Km from the Nice train station. You must, that is must, have a car. Historic old village adjacent. Think of it as an Eze without shops but very historic. Go for the remoteness and relaxation after several city tours. Go for the fabulous prix fix dinner (not included in the room). This is not a place for a long stay but the views and the meals alone are worth the trip.

    Very good

Great location with great views of Peillon

Difficult drive in and not easy handling luggage from parking area

    Food exceptional

Room felt damp with a musty smell. The location of this hotel demands a uphill drive on very narrow roads with hairpin bends, not for the faint hearted!

Worth the trip!!! Beautiful Auberge, excellent meal, service and hospitality just great. Peaceful, birdsong is all you can hear. The closest to heaven I`ve ever been.

There was nothing to find fault with; however we were all glad to have arrived in daylight.

    Fabulous

Small, family operated hotel with personal service. Excellent food and very nicely situated outside restaurant with great view. Charming old building and nice surroundings.

A bit warm during the night (no AC), not much to do in the area except take longer or shorter walks

    Guest rating

This was a very poor experience which bore no resemblance to the rating in the 2011 Michelin red book(rated two towers in red) or frankly to the high ratings on Booked.net.

The hotel in general is very run down, dusty and dirty. The food was OK but it was clear that the staff couldn't get service completed fast enough (this was Tuesday evening and Wednesdays are their "day off"). How can a hotel in a tourist area "close down" for one day per week in high season? In addition to the other two tables occupied in the restaurant for dinner, there were a total of 5-7 cats which seemed to live there---apart from the nuisance to diners, this is clearly not hygienic. Further to the comments above, a South of France hotel without any air conditioning in bedrooms presents us with the choice-- open the window to cool down and be eaten by the mosquitos, or sweat all night!

    Good

    The view was supberb.

The price of the room was perfectly reasonably. Where they then catch you is on the price of the meal with little choice of food. You have no option but eat there if you want a glass of wine with dinner as there is nothing else for miles. Just thought they took extreme advantage of this. We also did not have a courtyard view unless that was a view of the wall within about 2 feet.

Very romantical and quiet hotel with very inspirating atmosphere. An unexpected lovely surprise was for us romantical and restored castle of village with friendly people living there.

Hotel restaurant was closed on wednesday, as we arrived very late in tuesday evening and had to leave on thursday morning, we couldnt enjoy the food of hotels Michelin star restaurant.

    Good

The restaurant, the food was outstanding.

The rooms were tired and only just acceptable, very few additions such as no bottled water in rooms.
